Anna was the daughter of John Jackson and Elcy Jackson, from a framily of3 sons and 4 daughters. she was mother to 10 children five sons and fivedaughters. remarks from a County history 1889, Anna the wife of Roberthamilton, was one of the most remarkable women who lived and died in thisvalley. She was the daughter of John and Elcy Jackson and was born inOrange Co N.Y. Her parents came from Ireland when quite young and theywere noted for their intelligence. , Mrs Jackson was a sister of General Armstrong, of Revolutionary fame, and anotherbrother who engaged in the struggle for liberty. Mrs. hamilton's maternalgrandmother was a Latta, and she was noted for her intelligence andability to discuss theological subj ects.
