She was born 5 Jan 1883 at Atchison co. dau ofAdam and Celestia Cory Hamilton, she lived in Soldier from 1892 until1912 when she moved to Westmoreland. She later lived in Yakima, Wash.then in Topeka since 1964.
she was married to Earnest T. Thornton 26 June 1912, in Holton. He diedAug 16, 1964 a son Edwin E. Thornton died 8 Nov 1955. and another sonRobert C. Thornton d 22 July 1980. survivors include two daughters, VelmaI Yates,of Topeka, and Iva M Lynch, Palermo,Ca. a son Alvin E. of DesMoines.
